About the Role:

Sr. CAD Technician (DOT Specialization)

Were on the hunt for a skilled Sr. CAD Technician specializing in Department of Transportation (DOT) surveying to join the team. In this role youll provide seniorlevel office support for transportation land surveyors work on a variety of projects and collaborate with field staff and other professionals. If you have extensive experience in DOT drafting and a knack for collaboration and organization we want to meet you!

Your Mission:

• Use Bentley software to prepare site plans according to DOT specifications
• Process extract and analyze field survey data
• Assist in assembling information for survey scope and work with directing field crews as needed
• Collaborate with project managers to create plans and designs
• Serve as a mentor for other DOT Technicians
• Keep site data and plans organized and accessible
• Perform occasional field work including site inspections research and quality assurance

What You Bring:

• 58 years of related DOT drafting experience preparing transportation surveys
• Knowledge and application of surveying concepts
• Ability to adhere to project timelines in a team environment
• Strength in multidepartment coordination and organization
• Proficient written and verbal communication
• Ability to complete assignments with limited direction
• DOT drafting experience using Geopak OpenRoads and MicroStation
• Experience with DOT surveying and engineering design projects
• Experience preparing exhibits and writing descriptions

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a United States citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Bonus Points For:

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• Drafting experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience using Trimble Business Center
• 2 years of field surveying experience
