**Overview** Founded in 1926 Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is a 334-bed acute care nonprofit community hospital located in Glendale California. The hospital offers a full complement of services including its award winning heart center the colorectal surgery institute a gastrointestinal program and is a Los Angeles County approved primary stroke center. Visit for more information. **Responsibilities** Certified Surgery Tech II Lead is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. The individual performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan JCAHO and other licensing accrediting and regulatory agencies. The Lead tech assures all equipment supplies instruments implants etc are available and in working condition for each scheduled case in the Operating Room. S/he coordinates various material needs with Materiel Management. S/he maintains anesthesia supplies specialty equipment and coordinates instrument sets and case cart preparation with Sterile Processing Department counterparts. S/he acts as a resource for all levels of staff related to general and specialty equipment materials and instrumentation. Participation in the coverage of the departmental "On Call" schedule as well as shift adjustment based on the needs of the department is requred. Our surgical department consists of 8 operating rooms with a designated cardiac and urology suite. The OR suites are equipped with state-of-the-art lighting tables and equipment. While all service lines are supported hearts vascular major ortho and neuro spine are the most prominent. The recent addition of the DaVinci Xi will allow this surgery department to provide a high level of care. This collaborative department supports learning and professional growth.
