Our local firm is currently seeking a tax preparer for federal tax return preparation of individual income tax filings. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent tax preparation experience.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced tax professionals, gaining hands-on experience in tax preparation, research, and client communication. We are open to training the right candidate who would be excited and eager to learn tax preparation.

Responsibilities
• Accurately input financial data into Drake tax software.
• Review financial records, such as income statements and balance sheets, to determine tax liabilities.
• Work with clients to collect financial documents and information necessary to complete their returns.
• Maintain organized records of client information for future reference.
• Fulfills ongoing training and testing requirements, as required.
• Daily use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Qualifications
• 2 years of tax preparation experience.
• Must have PTIN or eligible to receive.
• Understand and maintain the confidentiality of all information.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficient and a familiarity with Microsoft Office.
