Job Title:  Tax Preparer

Location:  Los Angeles, CA 90048

Pay Rate : $25 -$30/hr based on experience

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in preparing personal and entity tax returns, as well as proficiency in Lacerte tax software and QuickBooks. You will be responsible for accurately preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses. You will analyze financial information to ensure taxes are paid correctly and timely. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, corporate accounting, and public accounting practices. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits that include a pension plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file personal and entity tax returns
• Utilize Lacerte tax software for accurate and efficient tax preparation
• Manage and maintain financial records using QuickBooks
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of client information
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation
• Proficiency in Lacerte tax software
• Strong knowledge and experience with QuickBooks
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
