A The UPS Store Team Member and Manager is responsible for assisting and delivering exceptional service to all customers. Services provided at the UPS Store include receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating printers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, point-of-sale devices, and other equipment the store is supplied. The Team Member will grow into becoming an expert in services, products, and value options to advise customers by providing accurate information. The Store Manager is its key leader with ultimate responsibility for day-to-day operations and success of this retail location. S/he will ensure efficiency and profitability, and that sales and financial goals are met. Critically, s/he will focus on self-development under guidance from his or her Primary Operator, and coaching and development of his or her people, with intent to maintain a pipeline of future talent in-store and within the broader organization. S/he will act as keyholder (open and close the store), manage productivity and labor hours, and ensure the store’s team delivers World Class customer service to all. S/he will spend approximately 80%+ of their time in front end operations and leading the team to meet store goals, including training and development where opportunities are identified. The remainder of their time will be spent coordinating with the Leadership team in hiring, managing personnel concerns, onboarding, offboarding, and other; managing to a P&L with cost and expense control; ordering supplies; paying bills; and coordinating facilities maintenance and improvements as identified. The ideal Team Member and Manager has previous retail customer service experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be available to work more than 40 hours and flexible days as needed to support store operations. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivers outstanding customer service to all customers and telephone inquiries
  • Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
  • Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
  • Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
  • Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
  • Performs other duties as assigned to help with store operations
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
