**Job Title: Trailer Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking skilled technicians with trailer repair experience to join our team. Candidates will be responsible for repairing semi-truck tankers and trailers, ensuring they meet high standards of safety and functionality.
**Responsibilities**
+ Repair semi-truck tankers and trailers.
+ Perform fabrication and welding tasks, including GMAW and GTAW techniques in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
+ Conduct electrical repairs on trailers.
+ Carry out engine and hydraulics repairs.
+ Repair pumps and ensure proper functioning.
+ Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards, including HM183 and hazmat requirements.
+ Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, and various other systems.
+ Service and repair tank systems.
+ Knowledge and repair of air brake systems.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in trailer repair, mechanical systems, and fabrication.
+ Proficiency in welding, specifically Tig and Mig, with the opportunity to obtain certification on the job.
+ Competence in diesel engine work, with a focus on trailers and tankers.
+ Ability to use tools effectively for inspection and repair.
+ Strong work ethic and team player mentality.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of tools and their usage.
+ Understanding of air brake systems and repairs.
+ Ability to work efficiently and inspect tanks and trailers according to standards.

**Work Environment**
Work in an indoor facility equipped with large garage bays. Although not climate controlled, the environment is conducive to repair work. A basic set of tools is required, including hammers, wrenches, socket sets, screwdrivers, allen wrenches, multimeter, measuring tape, level, square, drill, impact gun, weld helmet, and rolling tool cart.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00/hr.
