Position: Trauma Psychotherapist 

Employee Type: Full-Time, generous health insurance co-pay, with exceptional time-off policy. 

Compensation: $70,000 - $77,000based on level of experience

What Does an Awesome Trauma Psychotherapist Do ?
As a Therapist at Mothers Advocacy Project, you provide our clients with the tools to help establish and/or maintain healthy families by closely following MAP’s Trauma Assimilation and Social Support model, developed by MAP’s Dr. Denisa Millette.  Using MAP’s digital curriculum, our Psychotherapist will lead group and individual therapy, develop client care plans, maintain the proper paperwork, and be an integral part of MAP’s healing program. Your impact will enhance client relationships and client retention.  This position strongly supports MAP’s vision of breaking the intergenerational cycle of maltreatment and trauma in women-led families.

Position Purpose:  

The purpose of the Trauma Psychotherapist is to provide group & individual psychotherapy to adult female clients to guide them through the three phases of trauma recovery using Mothers Advocacy Project (MAP)’s unique Trauma Assimilation and Social Support (TASS) model. All materials and training in the model will be provided upon employment.

Qualifications for consideration: 

• LPC or LCSW is required .
• Experience working with clients with trauma disorders.  
• Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. 
• Detail oriented. 
• Driven to help others. 

Key Specific Responsibilities: 

• Provides on-site group & individual therapy for cohorts of 5-8 clients, in a 28-week program. 
• Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients. 
• Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress. 
• Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality. 
• Creates a care plan for each client. 

Staff Team Requirements: 

• Attends quarterly staff meetings. 
• Attends weekly clinical staff meetings.  
• Completes Staff Self-Appraisals a min of 1x per calendar year. 
• Attends all necessary trauma training. 
• Attends all necessary developmental training for the position.
