BoosterPet Assistants Wanted BoosterPet is looking for passionate and experienced Veterinary Assistants on a part-time basis to share our vision of providing healthy work spaces. Assistants must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To..... - Play an active role in the BoosterPet medical team to provide quality medical care, model BoosterPet’s core values
- Be tech savvy
- Support BoosterPet virtual care services
- Complete detailed medical records with through medical history. Ensure medical records are accurate within the practice management system
- Educate animal owners
- Complete complete vitals on behalf of our DVMs/veterinary technicians
- Liaising with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure continuity of patient care
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure safety of pets, clients, and team members
- Administering medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian
- Maintain medication clerk licensure
- Obtains and verifies medications
- performing phlebotomy duties, and providing intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections
- Restrain pets in a manner that allows necessary work to be performed, minimizes stress to pets, and ensures the safety of pets and people
- Assist at front desk/kiosk and greet clients/patients upon entry
- Answer phones and make appointments as needed
Requirements Experience Required. Medication Clerk license preferred, will help you obtain if not currently licensed.
