The Role:

We are looking for a Video Producer and Editor to help us create knock-your-socks-off video content for Cometeer's paid social channels. An ideal candidate will be experienced in producing, video editing, and cinematography. They're as excited about a lightbulb-moment creative idea as they are executing the concept end-to-end. They are consistently seeking opportunities to test & learn, and they are a team player who thrives in a high-impact, fast-paced, cross-functional work environment.

This is a full time, in-person role at our NYC office in Flatiron with limited travel.

What You'll Do:

Producing

  • Lead the process of bringing in-house content to life, whether it be in office or on-location
  • Plan video logistics: budget, props, scheduling, equipment, lighting, etc 
  • Manage vendors where needed, including but not limited to gaffers, equipment rental houses, talent, and studio space

Video Editing 

  • Use video editing platforms (ie Adobe Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci) to execute video concepts based on a creative brief that will run on paid digital channels 
  • Construct videos within a test structure that allows for continuous, iterative learnings 
  • Handle post production needs including file labeling / organization, transcoding files, color correction/grading, etc. 

Cinematography

  • Pre-Production Planning: Scout locations, plan shots, source inspiration, and design storyboards to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Camera Operation: Capture stunning visuals using professional-grade cameras and equipment.
  • Lighting: Set up and adjust lighting, as well as any related equipment 

Strategy 

  • Ideate net new content ideas as well as creative ways to leverage existing footage 
  • Partner with Senior Growth Marketing Manager to align on weekly and monthly video test plans 
  • Apply learnings from previous tests to forthcoming creative 
  • Participate in discussions analyzing creative to continually improve the team's understanding of performance 

What We're Looking For:

  • 5 years of experience in video production, editing, and cinematography
  • Experience in a growth marketing environment creating content for social channels
  • A cross-functional partner that can help in project managing to meet timelines and goals
  • Ability to work well independently and in close collaboration with teammates
